*Now in Stock* - Mosquito Net Curtains

    New this Summer

Summer is well and truly here, with a hot and sunny weather forecast for the foreseeable future. Temperatures are set to reach a sizzling 33C in parts of the UK this weekend, so we hope you're all managing to stay cool, perhaps with a sun-downer under your gazebo in the evenings.

We have been busy this week with our last big stock delivery of the year, which included a brand new product for us - our Mosquito Net Curtains. We've been excited to stock these mesh curtains for some time because not only do they keep insects out whilst you're relaxing under your gazebo but they also look beautiful and can be paired with our standard curtains (see photo below) or used on their own. Lots of customers have been asking for these curtains to use around their hot-tubs, which we think is a brilliant idea.

We are currently selling these mesh curtains to fit a 3m x 3m square gazebo. For more information on these curtains or to see more pictures and detailed measurements, please visit the listing here. Please do get in touch if you have any questions about this Mosquito Net Curtain set or anything else you need help with.

A busy Summer is in full swing....

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has visited our site or purchased from us this year. Please continue to provide your feedback, send us your photos, give us new ideas, and ask any questions you have - we love hearing from you!

    Have a great weekend everyone!

  • New Product Due in 2018 - Swing Seat Canopy Brackets

New Product Due in 2018 - Swing Seat Canopy Brackets

Along with Gazebo Screw Finials, one of the most sought after but not yet stocked products on our website is the Swing Seat Canopy Bracket. Having up to now only supplied the fabric canopy for swing seats and hammocks, we thought we'd take the plunge and delve in to the surprisingly complicated world of swing seat brackets - who knew there were so many different types??.

We're currently working on designing and developing replacements for some of the more popular types of bracket/connector and hope to have our first versions in stock later this year.

Here's what we ask from our lovely customers in the meantime:

    1) Please get in touch and let us know what types of brackets you're after - your enquiries about these types of item help us to know where to focus our efforts!
    2) What do you call these brackets?? Presumably most of you will have found your way here through Google search, but did you try a different key term first, and if so what was it? Swing Chair Bracket, Hammock Screw, Swing Hammock Fixing, Hammock Roof Rotating Screw, Toothed Bracket??

We can't wait to get these products developed and listed and we also can't wait for your enquiries, comments and ideas about these brackets. As a small family business we're fortunate to be able to listen closely to all customer feedback and suggestions and it really does go in to helping us not only design better products but also point us in the right direction for what you want us to add to our range in the future.

    Oh, and Happy Easter!!!

  • New Product Due in 2018 - Patio Gazebo Screw Finials

    Gazebo Finial Screw Knob

By popular demand - replacement finials are on the way!

As many of you will know, our main focus with the style of gazebo we call a "Patio Gazebo" (semi permanent, ornate steel frame) has been on providing a range of replacement canopies and curtain sets to fit the ever increasing range stocked by retailers.

Fortunately for us, our lovely customers are never too shy to ask for other parts that we don't yet stock. We are always grateful for this input as it really helps us focus our product development for the future. One of the most sought after items for Patio Gazebos, other than the canopies and curtains, has been the decorative Screw Finial found on many models of Patio Gazebo.

Not all models of gazebo feature this, in fact it's only those models where the canopy attaches to the frame via eyelets at the corners, which the finial screws through and in to the frame to hold the canopy in place. This is different to models where the canopy is either held in place with pockets or where it pulls over the edges and fixes on with velcro. You tend to find the finial design on frames with ornate scrolled metal work around the edge - the finials hold the canopy without hiding the decorate details on the frame and add a touch of style themselves.

Anyway....without getting too carried away explaining their function (too late??), we're pleased to be able to advise that they will be available to purchase later this year. We unfortunately don't have an exact date yet, as we're still designing and testing them, but we will update the product listing as soon as we have more info.

To view the product listing please click here. You'll see that you can even register your interest so please do so and we will keep you updated.

As always, if you have any questions about this item (compatibility etc) or any other item, please don't hesitate to get in touch via our Contact Us page!

  • New Products for Spring

    New Products for Spring

Spring isn't too far around the corner (finally!) and this year we are pleased to announce a brand new range of products; including outdoor lighting and protective covers

    Outdoor Lighting

We are now stocking a range of outdoor lighting, from string lights to lanterns and individual bulbs. The whole range is solar powered, and some are dual powered so you can use batteries in the winter months, meaning there is no need for trailing wires and outdoor power points. We have carefully selected this range of lighting to complement your gazebo and patio furniture and help you bring your garden to life.

Take a look at our photo gallery 📷 for inspiration from other customers.

    Parasol Covers

To protect your parasol from the elements, we are introducing protective parasol covers. We have a number of different protective covers, suitable for different size parasols and even cantilever parasol. These covers should protect against all weathers, dirt and grime.

    Protective Parasol Covers

    Swing Seat Covers

Whilst taking the canopy down for winter and the cushions indoors can help your swing seat last longer, sometimes a protective cover is needed to protect the frame itself. We are now stocking a range of Swing Hammock Covers, to protect your hammock/swing seat from all weather elements, dirt and grime.

We've got lots of new products coming in this year, so watch this space! Are there other products you want to see? Let us know!

  • How to Make Your Office More Eco-Friendly

How to Make Your Office More Eco-Friendly

With our motto being 'why replace when you can repair?' and all of us being quite environmentally conscious at home, one of our main aims for this year was to see what we could do to become a bit more environmentally friendly at Gazebo Spare Parts. Here's what we've come up with so far:

    1. Electricity

    • We turn off all office equipment (laptops, printers etc) that don't need to be on overnight. Select the most energy-efficient settings for monitors (e.g. making laptop sleep after 15 minutes without use etc).
    • We use LED bulbs where possible and try to take advantage of natural light.
    • We turn lights off in rooms that aren't being used e.g. kitchens/bathrooms.

      2. Reduce Reuse Recycle (Refuse)

      • Reduce paper usage - emailing documents and using digital copies.
      • Reuse hand towels/tea towels that can be washed rather than single-use paper towels.
      • Recycle - we have recycle bins in the office, warehouse and kitchenette.
      • Refuse - We don't have a water cooler/coffee machine, but we do drink a lot of tea and use mugs/glasses rather than disposable cups.
      • We are changing to recycled paper for our printer/office use.

        3. Printer Settings

        • We print our invoices using the draft printing mode and we don't print in colour (which generally uses more ink). We will be trialling not printing invoices at all later this year and emailing them instead.
        • We recycle our ink cartridges.
        • We save paper by only printing when necessary and printing on both sides of the paper.

        4. Packaging

Over the next couple of years, we are looking to make all of our packaging recyclable. At the moment, we use:

        • Cardboard boxes for our canopies.
        • Biodegradable bubblewrap on items that may sustain damage in transit e.g. poles (only where necessary).

And in the future we are looking at:

        • Using cardboard boxes rather than our current plastic tubing for our poles, which would also have the added bonus of preventing the need to use bubble wrap.
        • Cardboard envelopes rather than jiffy bags for our smaller parts.

        5. Other Ideas

        • Green cleaning products - we use eco-friendly cleaning products in our kitchenette and bathroom.
        • Go green - literally - we have plants in our office which recycle air and have the added bonus of making the office look nice.

        Summary

Being an office of just three people, we have found it quite easy to make a few changes. I can imagine in a busy, larger office it may be more difficult; especially with colleagues that don't think it's important or limited resources/funds to implement new systems etc. Small changes do add up to make a big difference though, so consider adding a recycling bin in the kitchen to make it easy for people to recycle, or stop providing single-use items such as plastic cups and encourage people to bring their own reusable bottles/mugs.

Do you try and run an environmentally conscious office/home? Get in touch and give us your suggestions on what we could do to make our office better and let us know what you do to make your office/home more 'green'.
